Tom Ascol is an American pastor, theologian, and author. He has served as the senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Florida, since 1986 and is the president of Founders Ministries, an organization dedicated to promoting biblical reformation and the spread of the Gospel in local churches. He also founded the Institute of Public Theology and teaches at several theological seminaries, including Reformed Theological Seminary and Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary.

Tom Ascol received his education at Texas A&M University (Bachelor of Science in Sociology), as well as Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his Master of Divinity and PhD degrees.

As an author and editor, Ascol is known for his work on pastoral ministry, Baptist theology, and the spiritual life. One of his most popular books is "Dear Timothy: Letters on Pastoral Ministry," which contains advice and guidance for young ministers. In addition, he actively writes articles, publishes blogs, and hosts the podcast The Sword & The Trowel.

In his private life, Tom Ascol is married to Donna and has six children and several grandchildren. He is known as a faithful preacher, mentor, and teacher who strives to see churches rooted in Scripture and steadfast in the faith.
