Ray Ortlund is a doctor of theology at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, pastor of the Emmanuel Church in Nashville, Tennessee, president of the Renewal Ministry, and a member of the Council of the Gospel Coalition. The author of books, one of the translators of the Old Testament for two versions of the Bible in English, as well as the author of commentaries on the ESV (English Standard Version) study Bible. He has been married to Jena for more than 45 years, they have four children and many grandchildren.
